ABOUT TALKHOCKEYRADIO PODCASTS
Our podcasts last between 25 and 35 minutes each and come in the popular MP3 format. The file size of each programme varies according to the content but an average file is about 14 MB. If you have fast broadband you should be able to download this in a few seconds.
Programme content usually consists of interviews with players, coaches, and the movers and shakers in hockey. We tend to concentrate on senior hockey, both men’s and women’s, and a large amount of the content is devoted to national league, European club and international hockey. However, there is usually something there for grass roots players.
Podcasts are produced to a high standard by a BBC trained producer.

Indoor hockey features strong in the February edition of The Hockey Show.
We have reports from the Men’s European Indoor Nations Championships in Leipzig, where Max Donnermeyer spoke to Ashley Jackson, and from the Women’s European Indoor Nations Championships II in Slagelse, where we have interviews with coach Nick Clark, and players Nicky O’Donnell and Katie Long. Whilst we were in Denmark we also took the opportunity to find out something about Danish Hockey by interviewing Casper Guldbrandsen of the Danish Hockey Union.
Back home we were at the Hockey Writers’ Club Awards in London’s Knightsbridge. The winner of the Men’s Player of the Year Award was Mark Pearn and we have an interview with him. Plus, we had a chance at the Awards to catch up with England men’s indoor coach, Andy Halliday, and talk to him about England’s relegation in Leipzig.
The launch of the Hockey Museum took place in January and we were able to pay the new museum a visit, where we were able to talk to one of the trustees, Mercian’s Mike Smith.
We finish the programme with interviews with the winners in the Maxifuel Super Sixes Indoor Finals at Wembley. Our Antonia Richards was there to get comment from the winners, Maddie Hinch of Leicester, and Richard Organ of East Grinstead.
It’s all in the February edition of the Hockey Show from TalkHockeyRadio.
